James Appointed to Pipe Shop Lead

James Carson, aged 41, joined OLG Construction four years ago. Following the successful completion of all relevant training modules, he has recently been appointed as Pipe Shop Lead. In this new role, James will oversee the pipe shop operations, liaise with clients, manage material orders, and provide comprehensive training to apprentices.

James brings substantial experience to his position, having spent nine years with Phillips 66, completed his apprenticeship at Jex Engineering, and worked extensively across the UK in the oil and gas, pharmaceutical, and food industries.

Based in Grimsby, James lives with his two sons, Ethan and Bear. Outside of work, he enjoys music, films, football (supporting Chelsea), and spending quality time on outings and holidays with his children.

Regarding his appointment, James stated: “After working at OLG for nearly 4 years as a supervisor and recently completing a number of courses regarding supervision and safety, I am very excited to take the next step into being workshop lead. I have a great team around me and working as a team is vital.”

The entire OLG team extends their congratulations to James on his new role.
