OLG would like to extend its warmest wishes to Mark Thomason, Head of Process Engineering, as he retires this Friday, a day made even more special as it also marks his birthday.
Mark’s journey with the business began in January 2019 when he joined BPE Design and Support. He continued his role following the company’s acquisition by OLG in February 2020 and has since been an integral part of the engineering team.
When asked about his plans for retirement, Mark shared his enthusiasm for a number of long-awaited personal pursuits:
“I started researching my family tree several years ago and will now have time to continue the research, validating the information and online hints. I also plan to spend more time getting out and walking around my local area. We are planning more overseas travel, as we tend to visit places we haven’t been to before, and the Far East has always appealed.”
Reflecting on his time with OLG, Mark said:
“It has been an interesting time at OLG, with plenty of challenges along the way, as well as both highs and lows. I have been lucky to have been part of a great team. The future for OLG will no doubt continue to be challenging, with some interesting and topical projects on the horizon. I believe the OLG team has the skills and experience to tackle these and deliver for both the business and our clients.”
Throughout his time with the company, Mark has played a pivotal role in the growth and development of OLG’s Process Engineering capability. His knowledge, experience, and commitment have made a significant impact on both colleagues and clients alike.
While Mark will be greatly missed, everyone at OLG wishes him a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement, filled with new adventures, exciting travels, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the things he loves most.
