OLG Engineering are pleased to announce the promotion of 33-year-old Callum Smith as Senior Piping Designer.
Earlier this year Callum was granted approval to start a BEng Hons Mechanical Engineering degree with OLG sponsorship. The 2-year top-up course will upgrade his HND to BEng, which he completed whilst at OLG Engineering when he originally joined the company as a piping draughtsman in January 2012, where he worked until the end of 2017.
Callum since returned to the company in August last year where he has proven to be a valuable member of the OLG team.
Head of Civil and Structural, Mick Renshaw said, “Callum’s appetite to develop the Group, not just himself, and willingness to help others is an asset to the business. I look forward to watching him grow further whilst undertaking his degree!”
Callum lives in Grimsby with his wife Laura and two children, 10 year-old Leigha and 6-year-old Hayden.
