Advanced Chemical Process Simulation

Chemical process simulation (or process modelling as it is often referred to) is a computer modelling technique used in process design. It allows engineers to predict the steady state or dynamic behaviour of a system by using computer software to create a system of interconnected unit operations, which are then evaluated as a fully operational plan.

Using chemical process simulation can bring huge benefits in terms of safety, cost effectiveness and efficiency, particularly when used during the concept and frontend design stages of a project.

Unrivalled Knowledge

We have unrivalled knowledge and depth of experience in chemical, physical and thermodynamic properties of the materials processed. As well as the characteristics of the process equipment items typically employed, for example reactors, columns, mixers, membranes, dryers, pumps and heat exchangers.

We can apply process modelling and computer simulation techniques to predict steady-state or dynamic behaviour. We do this using a range of software tools, including AspenONE®.

Once the required process components and connections are established, process flow diagrams can be used to represent the resulting model(s).
