OLG is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Raw Material Tank Farm and Processing Plant Project. This represents a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts.
The completion was officially signed off on February 14th during a completions meeting attended by the Client’s site director and OLG’s project director Martin Renshaw.
The Client expressed their satisfaction with the project’s outcome, particularly highlighting the management of numerous challenges, including the project’s fast-track nature and the exemplary site safety performance. This week marked the successful delivery of the first tanker, with production set to begin the following week. This milestone signifies the conclusion of OLG’s responsibilities as the principal designer and contractor.
The project, which commenced in December 2022, initially involved the detailed design of the raw material tank farm and expanded to include the processing plant. OLG was awarded the construction management aspect, assuming the role of principal contractor responsible for planning and managing all construction activities and site safety.
Key statistics from the project include:
- Over 350 site inductions conducted
- Management of 31+ different contractor companies
- Average daily manpower of 35-40 workers
- Manpower peak of 80+ workers
- 190,000+ man-hours completed without Lost Time Injury (LTI) or First Aid incidents
- 12 independent CDM audits with site performance consistently above 90%
The successful completion of this project not only underscores the importance of meticulous planning and safety management but also sets a benchmark for future fast-track construction projects.
