Junior Project Engineer, Keiran Dinnes, is celebrating after achieving a MSc in Engineering Project Management.
24 year old Keiran, joined On Line Design as a piping design apprentice in 2013 and after completing that, he became a trainee Project Engineer in 2018 working on Valero’s Alkylation Vessel Replacement Projects.
After completing a distance learning degree at the University of Portsmouth for the last three years, Keiran, is proud to have gained an overall Merit in his Master’s degree.
Keiran is currently seconded to Sellafield Ltd based in Cumbria, where he provides design and engineering support for the Box Encapsulation Plant Direct Import Facility (BEPPS DIF) project, working alongside the construction and commissioning teams based on site.
Outside of work Keiran, has recently purchased his first home in Grimsby with his Fiancé, Ellisha. He has found it quite stressful at times having to balance studying, whilst working full time and assembling flat pack furniture!
Keiran, said, “Completing this degree was beneficial because I could use ‘real life’ scenarios and issues to form multiple case studies which allowed me to analyse problems, research and propose solutions, and make professional judgements when faced with the organisational, financial and management aspects of a project and general business practices.
I am extremely grateful for the support from colleagues, past and present, for all the assistance over the years. I am looking forward to having a break from studying, as there are plenty of jobs still to complete around the house! In years to come I would like to register with the Association of Project Management as a Chartered Project Professional and join an engineering institution and work my way to becoming a Chartered Engineer
A huge congratulations from On Line Design!
