OLG would like to wish OLG Consulting’s Managing Director, Bill Warbey all the best on his upcoming Trans Pennine Trail adventure.
Unlike most other long-distance cycle routes in the UK, the Trans Pennine Trail is mostly off-road. The Trail is largely purpose-built using canals, riversides, disused railway lines, minor roads and urban cycle paths – over 60% of the Trail’s cycle route is traffic-free.
Over the period of three days, from 9th to 11th May, Bill and his son will be cycling from Hornsea on the East Coast to Southport in the West, covering some 215 miles.
Bill said, “Any donations that I am lucky enough to raise will go directly to Dementia UK, which, as well as the chosen OLG charity, is close to my heart as my dad suffers with vascular dementia.”
If anyone would like to make a donation it would be kindly received.(Click here for the JustGiving page link)
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Their nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.
OLG wish Bill all the best on his travels!
