OLG has recently completed a framework contract for Yorkshire Water, one of the largest water and sewerage companies in the UK, serving over five million customers. OLG provided EPCM services across a portfolio of projects, covering various aspects of water supply, treatment, distribution, and disposal.

Key Projects

Projects typically ranged from £1m to £4m and were wide ranging in terms of scope and complexity, key projects included:

  • Gravity Thickening Building roof replacement for waste water treatment works: designing and installing a new roof structure and cladding system for an existing building that houses gravity thickeners, which are used to reduce the volume of sludge before digestion.
  • Digester repair programme for various waste water treatment sites: conducting structural and mechanical assessments and repairs of anaerobic digesters, which are used to stabilise and generate biogas from sludge.
  • Modifications and validation to OSEC system across various sites: upgrading and testing the on-site electrochlorination (OSEC) system, which produces sodium hypochlorite from brine for disinfection purposes.
