OLG Engineering’s Darren Routh recently attended a Careers Day at Healing Primary School.
Darren was able to discuss his role as a pipe stress engineer and he also demonstrated his 30-year-old Lego car, carbon fibre composite beam and various ways of measuring, from vernier callipers to lasers.
Darren said, “It was a very busy day engaging with Year Groups 3 through to 6 and many pupils took great interest into the world of engineering. One of the children said, and I quote “Engineering is cool!”, so I’ll take that as a positive result!”
