OLG were commissioned to deliver the Detailed Design package for a £250m facility to store low level nuclear waste at Sellafield. Our scope of works included – the control of the master P&ID’s – BIM Control & meta data – Detailed Design for the Piping systems, Stress Analysis, Civil, Sturctural and Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering – act as the Technical Authority
This 3 year project peaking at 60 people was delivered on NEC 3 Contract providing Project Management, Planning, Reporting and Document Control.
The Detailed Design package resulted in over 5,000 design documents and reports. We provided: – Full systems design stress analysis and reports – Piping Isometircs circa 850 – Structural GA’s / drawing circa 2350 – Datasheets for the equipment, vessels, valves and instruments – Control System Hook ups for all Equipment. As the project moves into construction OLG Engineering are currently providing commissioning support on an ad hoc basis.
