Project Overview:

Smith & Nephew contacted OLG in April 2022 with a requirement for a new plant to produce adhesive for their wound dressing product. As principal contractor under the CDM regulations, OLG’s scope of work for the project included

Project management
Design
Fabrication
Installation of all equipment and utilities for the plant, including a new control system.

Scope of Works:

The plant was modelled using Advanced Steel and Autoplant 3D with consideration being given to minimising disruption to ongoing operations, prior to gaining approval to progress to full detail design.

Working to an agreed programme, OLG managed a group of specialist contractors to ensure project delivery in line with the execution strategy. Because of the restricted working area, strong construction management of all activities and subcontractors was required.
